Saturday we had our first cours de cuisine, and it went well! Since the elders get to play soccer Saturday mornings, we thought that we needed another activity for those who don't play. We got the acitivty approved, and from now on, every Saturday morning we will be holding our class! We sent out a mass text to everyone in our contact list inviting them to our class. Only two people came :( Lots of people were interested, but weren't able to make it this Saturday. However, they plan on coming next time! We're so excited to be able to invite our amis as well as the members to socialize, learn something new, and have fun! Since it was our first class, we shared the recipe. I taught them how to make my favorite teriyaki chicken. Our next class, one of the sisters in the ward will teach us how to make a Buche de Noel. Yummm.
Work here right now is a little slow, but coming. Right now we're focusing on visiting lots of members and less actives. We visited a brother in our ward, who taught us how to make "real crêpes". As we ate, we shared "He is the Gift" and invited him to share it with a friend. He called us later that day to say he gave the rest of the crêpes we made to his neighbor, and shared the "He is the Gift" card. Woot woot! Follow his example, and pass out those cards and invite your friends to watch the video! It's magical!
Flavie had her baby! Her name is Quinza. (I'm guessing that's how it's spelled.) She's so precious. A couple weeks premature, so Flavie can't really go anywhere. Anyways, we had the best lesson with Flavie the other day! We followed up with her on how she felt about the baptism, and our lessons. She explained she really likes being taught, but she doesn't really see the difference between us and the Evangelist church, as we have many of the same principles. Based on that response and by listening to the Spirit, we knew we had to reteach the Restoration. I'm telling you, all we did was open our mouths and the Spirit did the rest. It was amazing. We were really able to see what Flavie needed, and how we can help her. I want to have more and more lessons like that one.
Right now I'm working on having more charity. It's hard! But genius President Roney came up with a pattern for acquiring certain characteristics, so I've been using that. It's called the Roney Pattern. It goes like this:
1. Pick and attribute. Define it specifically.
2. Study it with an eternal perspective. How can this attribute affect me forever?
3. Script yourself. Find phrases, quotes, scriptures, etc. that will encourage me.
4. Envision it. See it as possible.
5. Pray. Ask Heavenly Father for help! Pray for opportunities to apply this attribute.
6. Apply it. Do it! Prepare. Plan.
Although I've only been working on it for a little less than a week, I can already see it working! And I'm happier!
This week we're going to Bordeaux for our Christmas conference. I'm so excited. I love being with the other missionaries, and I'm excited to hear President and Sister Roney speak. Also David Archuleta is coming! Apparently he'll be singing for us, so that'll be cool too.
Je vous aime! Keep sharing the gift!

Soeur Sopi is the coolest. We're working on getting Christmas pictures sent out. Be ready.
Making crêpes :)
Jean was having some difficulties take the crêpes out of the pan because they were so hot! Très mignon.
A member gave us peanut butter. First time since the MTC! SO GOOD.
Also Soeur Sopi's hair was on fire this morning. Love it.
